Template Selection – There are many templates provided by x2cms, but they all have a similar layout.  Along with the monotony of the selection, most of the templates are also very dated looking.

Customization – The templates are easily modifiable though, allowing you to change the layout and get your page looking more modern very quickly.

Multimedia – x2cms gives you all of the required media plugins for a website, including video, audio, and slideshow widgets.

While most web builders will charge you a little more for SEO features, x2cms offer you marketing packages in their starter plan. This means that for a novice user you can create a website and then you have the features available at your disposal to be able to market your site for search engines such as Google or Yahoo.

It does fall behind with some of the more advanced features, with no real social integration on-hand and lacking the likes of eCommerce integration.

The support for this product was excellent, responding promptly and respectfully. Everyone I talked to knew what they were talking about, and if they didn’t, they found someone who did. It took less than an hour to solve even the most ridiculous problems that I could come up with. There is very little community support, since there is nothing set up to foster one, but the developer support is more than good enough to get the job done.

Great if You Aren’t Doing E-commerce

The available packages from x2cms offer a great value for the most part, with the Standard and Professional packages surpassing industry standards. However, the E-commerce package is overpriced for its capabilities and should be avoided. Regardless, this editor is better suited for other purposes.
