To compare the best website builders on ease of use, templates, customer service, and value for money, we tried to build the same site on each platform. Check out the results here.
Geared towards small businesses, SiteKreator is a simple, user-friendly website creation solution including enterprise-class high-performance hosting, with dedicated IPs, SSL certification, and e-mail addresses available at an additional cost. The WYSIWYG editor is intuitive but feels a little old-fashioned in its design. Then again, they do offer quite a number of features to make up for it, such as branded e-mail campaigns, a Groupon-like promotion plugin, web-based gift certificates, and online appointment scheduling.
In the customization department, they provide a range of over 100 professionally-designed templates and a database of stock photos and icons. Some of the template designs look rather dated, but the selection is large enough that users should be able to find one that best fits their brand. It should be noted that while SiteKreator does have e-commerce functionality, it’s not specifically geared as an e-commerce platform, and may be somewhat limited in that area.
Their packages come with relatively high prices considering what they offer: their least expensive plan provides only 100MB of space and permits up to 10 pages, along with 10 databases and a few standard app integrations. Their most advanced plan offers 4 gigs of space, unlimited bandwidth, an unlimited number of pages, a domain included, and the complete range of features such as CTA buttons, advanced galleries, premium stock designs and icons, and premium apps.
