According to its Facebook page, XPNET was established in April 2017. This Romanian hosting company offers shared web hosting and website-building packages (including WordPress Basic and WordPress Business websites), plus domain registration and transfer services.
XPNET’s website is in Romanian.
Features and Ease of Use
XPNET offers five SSD shared hosting plans that come with:
- 99.99% uptime
- Free cPanel control panel
- 1 GB to 15 GB SSD storage
- Unlimited monthly traffic
- 1 to 15 addon domains
- Free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate
- Automatic daily backups
Some hosts ceased offering the cPanel control panel due to a price increase. However, XPNET continues to provide this control panel without charge. The control panel also integrates the Softaculous installer, which assists in the installation of software like WordPress for establishing a website backed by a content management system. Alternatively, you have the option to opt for one of the website building plans to craft a polished online presence for your business.
Performance is assured thanks to a combination of SSD storage (which is faster and more reliable than traditional HDD storage) and the Cloudflare CDN (which caches content close to your website visitors).
Pricing and Support
XPNET’s shared hosting plans are dirt-cheap, and they come with some incentives such as a free .eu/.ro domain and free website migration from your existing host. You can pay in euros by bank transfer or bank card on monthly or annual billing cycles, with two months’ free hosting when you commit to annual billing. A 30-day refund window means you should be able to get out relatively unscathed if anything goes wrong within the first month.
Although the only way to contact customer support is by online form, I’m pleased to say that I received a reply in about ten hours:
Self-support resources are limited to a knowledge base containing only three entries.
