WoomHost Review 2024 – Is It Worth It?

Mark Holden Written by: Mark Holden

WoomHost offers both free and paid hosting plans, but I wasn’t convinced about its genuineness. It is limited in features and resources – and parts of its website are completely blank.

Overview

Features

WoomHost is a  hosting provider specializing in a wide range of free and paid hosting solutions. These solutions include shared hosting, cloud hosting, VPS hosting, WordPress hosting, and domain registration.

There are a few things about WoomHost’s website that make me skeptical about it – such as its blank ‘about’ page and its fake address. If you’re looking for free hosting, then it may be worth the risk, but I wouldn’t sign up for a paid plan without trying the free plan first!

Features and Ease of Use

WoomHost offers two shared hosting plans – Shared Hosting and Premium Hosting. The Shared Hosting plan is free, and the Premium Hosting plan is paid.

While the Shared Hosting plan is limited in its resources, both plans come with the following features:

  • Unlimited monthly bandwidth
  • cPanel
  • One-click installer
  • Free automatic backups
  • 99.9% uptime guarantee
  • Cron jobs

In addition to these features, the Premium Hosting plan comes with:

  • Free SSL certificate
  • Free domain

WoomHost includes the renowned cPanel control panel with all plans. It’s considered the most commonly used control panel among hosting providers due to its user-friendly management interface and built-in tools.

One of the most attractive features in WoomHost’s plans is Cron jobs, which allows you to schedule all your website tasks at specific times. Instead of starting each task yourself, all you need to do is input the tasks to Cron jobs and automate their completion.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much to say about WoomHost when it comes to features. It’s pretty restricted compared to other hosting providers in its tier. Pricing and Support

WoomHost’s paid plan is relatively expensive, considering its limited features. You can choose to be billed monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually.

This host doesn’t have a money-back guarantee, but you can always try out the service by starting with the free plan. You will have to pay via PayPal (but I wouldn’t risk paying for hosting until you’ve tried out the free plan).

As previously noted, the WoomHost website offers a restricted amount of information. Regrettably, its knowledgebase does not encompass any articles or tutorials to cater to the numerous questions I possess. This circumstance raises an additional concern, further deepening my suspicions regarding WoomHost.

Support

While there’s a link to live chat on the website, every time I click on it, it redirects me to the contact form. Other communication channels include email and support tickets. I sent my questions through all channels, but I’m still waiting for a reply.

WoomHost REVIEW: BOTTOM LINE

Sometimes free hosting has its perks, but not so much in the case of WoomHost. Its plans are very limited in features and resources – and its website doesn’t inspire a lot of trust in it. If you’re looking for something more reliable, then check out our list of the best web hosting services.
