Features and Ease of Use
Wewhost offers four shared hosting packages — Starter, Economy, Ultimate, and Business — that come with:
- 10 GB to 100 GB storage
- cPanel control panel
- One main hosted website
The Softaculous installer allows you to set up a CMS-backed website with WordPress, an e-commerce store with OpenCart, and more, all with a single click. You don’t have to be a technical expert to do so.
Once your website is up-and-running, you can secure it with a free SSL certificate and SiteLock, and you also get DDoS protection.
A 99.9% uptime guarantee is mentioned on the website but I couldn’t find any additional details.
Pricing and Support
Wewhost’s competitively priced shared hosting packages can be bought on a monthly or annual basis. At the time of this review, you could get from two to six months of free hosting with annual billing, depending on the plan you pick. Pay in U.S. dollars by bank transfer, Instamojo, Razorpay, or PayUmoney.
I couldn’t find a way to use PayPal, although it’s mentioned. The same story goes for the money-back guarantee, which appears on the home page but lacks detailed information anywhere.
Self-support resources are disappointing since the knowledge base is bare. One-to-one support is equally uninspiring. Although you should be able to contact the company by telephone, email, postal mail, or an online contact form, I failed to summon any response.
