According to Vigunu’s LinkedIn page, this Spanish hosting provider was established in 2009 to provide high-quality internet hosting services at the best prices. Today, it offers cPanel and Plesk web hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, domain registration, and SSL certificates.
The Vigunu.com website is in Spanish, but some areas such as the knowledge base and ticket system are also English.
Features and Ease of Use
Vigunu offers six shared hosting plans (three each for cPanel and Plesk), four VPS plans, and four dedicated servers. The Linux cPanel plans provide you with:
- 16 GB to 40 GB disk space
- 50 GB to 400 GB traffic
- Unlimited mailboxes
- Unlimited MySQL databases
- Support for PHP/HTML/CGI/Perl
- Backup and restore
- Cron jobs
- Antispam and virus scan
If you want to take the easiest possible route to creating your website with no technical knowledge, you can take advantage of the website builder. Or, you can use the Softaculous installer to install more than 300 popular apps such as Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal. The more tech-savvy among you will benefit from the root access that allows VPS and dedicated server customers to exercise complete server control.
Security is assured by custom firewalls and free DDoS protection. And to safeguard your data, Vigunu uses reliable (and fast) SSD storage with RAID 10. It’s no bad thing that this provider is committed to 99% availability, but you should note that this is below the industry average.
Pricing and Support
Vigunu’s cPanel shared plans are competitively priced. However, the Plesk plans are almost four or five times the industry average. You can pay in euros using PayPal, credit card, wire transfer, or cash. Unfortunately, there is no money-back guarantee as far as I can see.
You can contact Vigunu’s customer support team through telephone (available during weekday working hours), support ticket, or live chat. However, the live chat was unavailable when I attempted to use it, and unfortunately, my exploratory email did not receive a response.
For self-support, you can refer to Vigunu’s knowledge base.
