VDS.SH Review 2025 – Is It Worth It?

Gwen Rodgers Written by: Gwen Rodgers

VDS.SH can set up your customized virtual dedicated server in Moscow or Amsterdam within five minutes, and it won’t cost you the earth. It’s only a shame that the pre-sales support is a little lacjing.

Overview

vdssh main1
VDS.SH is a Russian provider of virtual dedicated servers (VDS). Its modern, one-page website is available in English and Russian.

Features and Ease of Use

Screenshot 2019-09-07 at 09.06.28

VDS.SH only sells dedicated server rentals, which come with these features as standard:

  • Amsterdam or Moscow data center
  • Self-service backups
  • Up to 48 GB RAM
  • Up to 16 CPU
  • Up to 64 GB SSD storage

Considering the simplicity of its website, you might be surprised by the options available at VDS.SH, including a choice of hosting in Amsterdam or Moscow. The “Create your server” customizer lets you choose precisely the RAM, CPU, and SSD storage you require. Alternatively, you can pick from a set of four fixed-price tariffs.

Unlike most VDS companies, this one provides a one-click installer for popular programs such as Drupal, OpenCart, Joomla, and WordPress. You get SSH access, and you can choose your operating system to be Windows or your preferred flavor or Linux.

Pricing and Support

This VDS provider’s prices are very good; more like shared hosting prices than typically VDS prices. Once you’ve paid, your server will be ready within five minutes. Although there’s no money-back guarantee, you are billed daily for only the resources you use, and you can cancel at any time.

Customer service is limited to telephone and email for pre-sales, and possibly other channels via the client area for signed-up customers.

VDS.SH REVIEW: BOTTOM LINE

Russian provider VDS.SH offers fully customizable and preset, low-price dedicated server packages that let you pay for only the resources you use. The only downside is that customer service seems to be limited, at least until you actually become a customer.

Pros

  • Very well-priced plans
  • Configurable packages
  • A choice of server locations
  • Fast setup time

Cons

  • Limited pre-sales support
  • No shared hosting plans
