Trust-Host is a Russian hosting provider with an old-fashioned Russian-language website that contains little information about the company itself. There are no social media profiles to help date this provider, but its website’s copyright notice 2009-2010 suggests this could be when the company started (and maybe even ended).
Features and Ease of Use
Trust-Host sells shared hosting, dedicated server rentals, and domain names. As standard, its shared hosting plans come with the following core features:
- Targeted 100% uptime
- Backup options available
- Domain registration available
- Up to 250 add-on domains
- Up to 25,000 MB disk space
All of the hosting plans provide FTP and SSH access, and MySQL databases with phpMyAdmin. You can also use PHP (only up to version 5) and CGI scripts. So, you get the basics, but nothing very special, and no especially beginner-friendly features. Automatic daily backups are included, and you can configure them as required.
If shared hosting isn’t sufficient for your needs, you might consider a dedicated server. You get two IP addresses, but it takes 3-5 days to set up a server.
Although there is no uptime guarantee for the Kiev-based servers, Trust-Host strives to provide 100% uptime.
Pricing and Support
Trust-Host offers very cheap prices for its shared hosting, and its dedicated servers are in line with similar companies. You’ll need to pay separately for a domain, and the minimum sign-up period is six months. But don’t worry, there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee in case anything goes wrong, so you can get out early if needed.
Support can be summoned via two ticketing systems (one for clients and one for guests), email, or the now-defunct Google Talk messaging system. Considering the sparsity of information on its website (including an empty forum), it’s surprising to see that this host provides a decent knowledge base:
