To compare the best web hosts, we hosted the same WordPress website on each one and tested performance, customer service, and value for money. Check out the results here.
Tranzmedia is an Indian IT Services company that was founded in 2005. It provides web and mobile development, hosting, and digital marketing services. Its web hosting services include shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS hosting, and dedicated server hosting. With data centers located in France, it serves clients around the globe. The company’s website is available in English only.
Features and Ease of Use
Tranzmedia offers two packages, called Budget and Ultimate on its shared hosting plan. They offer the following features:
- 99.9% uptime
- Daily automatic backups
- From five to an unlimited number of add-on domains
- Free SSL certificates
- From 10GB to unlimited bandwidth
- Up to 60GB disk space
Shared Hosting accounts are provisioned on CloudLinux. This shares server resources among shared users and restricts interference in resources usage, ensuring that each account only uses what they pay for. Tranzmedia allows up to only 100 users per server.
Storage type for this plan is on HDD disk space. It’s not as good as SSD but with a good read speed, you shouldn’t need to worry much about your website. It uses LiteSpeed webserver on a Linux operating system, which provides greater speed and performance than you get with Apache. Also, LiteSpeed supports PHP, Ruby, and Python programming languages.
The shared hosting plan comes with cPanel for easy management of your account. It is user-friendly and you don’t need to be tech-savvy to understand how to use it. Installed in cPanel is Softaculous one-click script installer that allows you to easily install over 300 scripts/software options easily. The software includes WordPress, Joomla!, Magento, and Prestashop.
If you require much more than what the shared hosting plans offer, you can opt for any of the VPS plans. You’ll still get the beginner-friendly tools and control panel but with a faster server built on SSD. Alternatively, you can host your website on its dedicated servers.
Pricing and Support
Tranzmedia offers monthly, annual, and biennial subscriptions on its two shared hosting packages. The longer the duration you choose, the higher the discount you get. In general, for shared hosting, its prices are low-cost and shouldn’t break the bank. You can pay with PayPal wallet or Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover cards. The company provides a 30-day money-back guarantee.
They also provide a free migration service as an added bonus. If you decide to move your website from your current hosting provider to Tranzmedia, they will handle the transfer at no cost, regardless of the package you choose.
Its customer support is available in the form of live chat, email, ticketing system, phone, and knowledge base tutorials. The live chat isn’t always online; I tried multiple times are different hours and still found it offline. So, I reached out through email and I got a response about a week later.
