Founded a decade ago, Thost is an Israel-based web hosting provider that offers a limited range of hosting and web-related products, including shared hosting, VPS (virtual private server) hosting, web design and development, and website design and building. It operates a network of servers located in Israel, Australia, Singapore, Europe, and the US.
The Thost website is inconveniently limited in information and is only available in Hebrew. There are no prices displayed on the website, but I spoke with customer support and was informed prices are in Israeli shekel.
Features and Ease of Use
There isn’t much to say about Thost’s features as, like its website, they’re very bare-bones. Essentially, Thost offers three shared hosting plans that range in storage from 1 GB up to 5 GB. Compared to most of the hosting providers I’ve come across, these are quite limited and don’t give you good value for money. All three plans come with the following features:
- Free website migration
- Daily backups (saved for seven days)
If you’re looking for more extensive hosting packages, Thost also offers VPS hosting and reseller hosting, but again, there isn’t much information. For a more reliable solution, I recommend international hosting providers like Hostinger or InterServer.
Thost provides customizable hosting packages as an advantage. You can call our customer support, and our team will create a package tailored to your specific requirements.
Pricing and Support
As previously mentioned, Thost’s plans don’t offer much value and are actually quite expensive. I’ve come across lots of other providers who offer many more features for lower prices.
The Thost website is limited to its homepage only, so don’t expect to find a knowledge base or even an FAQ section. I had numerous questions, so I tried out customer support. The communication channels available are phone, support ticket, and Facebook messenger. Unfortunately, their responses were delayed, they weren’t very helpful, and most of my questions were unanswered.
