SyT was established in 1996 as an Argentinian I.T. support company. It opened its first Buenos Aires data center in 2009 and added a second data center room in 2016. SyT’s website supports the Spanish language.
Features and Ease of Use
SyT offers one shared hosting plan, one reseller hosting plan, six VPS plans (three each for Linux and Windows), eight cloud backup plans, and several dedicated servers with configurable features.
The sole shared hosting plan provides you with:
- Plesk control panel
- One main domain (i.e., www.yourcompany.com)
- Unlimited subdomains
- Unlimited IMAP/POP email accounts with Webmail
- MariaDB database
- Multiple PHP versions and PHP Extension Manager
- Support for Node.js and Ruby
- Integrated antivirus and antispam
- Weekly backups
The included WordPress Toolkit 2.0 lets you install WordPress with one click, then create a database and add features and plugins. While you get weekly backups, you can also perform your own backups directly from the control panel.
The content delivery network (CDN) assures accelerated content delivery, and the 99.98% availability commitment means your website should be online almost all the time. If the company fails to meet this commitment, you’ll be credited with an amount corresponding with the experienced downtime.
If shared hosting isn’t sufficient for your needs, you can opt for a VPS that grants root access (for Linux) or administrator access (for Windows), giving you complete control of your server.
Pricing and Support
SyT’s sole shared hosting plan is priced competitively. You can pay in Argentine pesos, U.S. dollars, or euros via various methods (including PayPal, bank transfer, credit card, and even cash) on monthly to annual terms. There is no money-back guarantee as far as I can see.
You should be able to summon 24/7 customer support by telephone, ticket, email, live chat, or online contact form. I say “should” because live chat was unavailable when I wanted to try it, and my test support ticket received no response.
For self-support, you can refer to the “Documentation” knowledge base in the client area:
