Smartweb Nigeria offers shared, reseller, and dedicated server hosting. Its shared hosting plans are available on Linux or Windows.

The entry-level Linux plan includes 10 GB of disk space, 30 GB of bandwidth, unlimited emails, and 5 MySQL databases. The top-tier Linux hosting comes with unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email, and unlimited MySQL databases.

The starter Windows shared hosting plan comes with 2 GB of storage, 10 GB of bandwidth, 15 email accounts, and the Plesk control panel. The highest-level shared Windows plan offers 60 GB of disk space, 200 GB of bandwidth, unlimited email, unlimited subdomains, unlimited add-on domains, and unlimited MS SQL databases.

Shared hosting plans come with:

  • 24/7 customer support
  • SSL certificates available

SSL certificates are not included automatically with hosting plans but can be added for an extra fee. You have the option to choose certificates from Certum and Comodo.

CodeGuard is available as an add-on purchase. This service monitors your website for changes, then performs automatic backups of your data. Different levels of data allowance come at different price points, and CodeGuard plans are available on six-month terms.

SiteLock is also offered as an optional add-on service. This solution can be purchased annually, and it protects you against viruses, malware, and data breaches.

Both SiteLock and CodeGuard come with a trust seal to be placed on your website.

Pricing and Support

smartwebnigeria 2

Smartweb Nigeria’s shared hosting plans are highly affordable and competitive. The entry-level shared Linux plans cost less than a cup of coffee per month and are around 10-40% cheaper than other top Nigerian hosts offering similar plans. These rates are some of the lowest we’ve seen amongst international hosting providers. Shared Windows rates are also very competitive and significantly cheaper than international competitors.

Hosting plans can be bought monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, biennially, or triennially, with discounts given for longer term hosting. Compared to month-to-month plans, quarterly and semi-annual plans are 5% cheaper while annual or longer plans cost around 16% less. A free domain is included on shared plans of one year or longer.

Smartweb Nigeria’s 24/7 support is provided via live chat, ticketing, and telephone. A live chat agent helped me immediately.

dont use them unless you want heart attack

Worst experience ever. I used them because of the Nigerian factor. At first, they misbehaved because it blocked my admin login if I used another IP address to log in, but I gave them time. they did improve. Later on, they started misbehaving. they suspended my account for 3days. When you try all their phone, they will be all switched off. When you reach them they keep apologizing without telling you the truth. I told them to let them release my files from my suspended host. it a new problem. I was suspended no because of payment but because I had 6 addon domains and it was overloading their server.

dont use them

if you have an online business and your using your host for serious business don't ever use them. they will kill your business. I tried using them because they are a Nigerian company. My account was suspended because of overloading. Maybe it was a DDOS attack or traffic. it took them 3days to respond. when they responded it was insult upon insult.

Worst Hosting Ever

This is the worst hosting I have ever seen in all my life. customer care - 0 Staffs knowledge - 0 resolving issues - 0 maturity - 0 keeping to an agreement - 0 tampering and reduction of host features? - YES I paid for business hosting, suddenly they reduced the features and ask me to pay more to upgrade. That is very wrong and I hate them for that forever.
