Shadow Hosting is based in India and offers a global service. This service includes domain registration, shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS hosting, and dedicated server hosting. Its data centers are in India, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and the United Kingdom. Its website is in English.
Features and Ease of Use
On Shadow Hosting’s shared server, there are seven plans offered. One is a WordPress plan, three are hosted in its India data center, and the other three are hosted in the Luxembourg data center. They all come with these features:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Free SSL certificate
- From 1GB to 100GB disk space
- From 500GB to 5TB bandwidth
- Up to six hostable domains
The plans are hosted on CentOS operating system, which is very stable. The web server is Apache, another good one. With these, the vendor supports up to some of the latest selectable versions of PHP for optimal web development and performance.
Shadow Hosting offers an easy connection to CloudFlare on the WordPress plan. With this, you can easily connect your hosting account to CloudFlare, change the settings as you need, and monitor it straight from your hosting control panel. CloudFlare has many benefits, including minifying and caching the static pages of your website to help reduce loading time.
Shadow Hosting uses solid state drives (SSD) on all plans. On the Luxembourg-based plans, the SSD is coupled with NVMe technology to further boost its effectiveness.
All seven of Shadow Hosting’s plans use the cPanel control panel. It is through cPanel that you will be able to set up features like databases and email accounts. Any feature you want to run or access on your account will be through the control panel.
It offers four layers of DDoS protection to guard your website against attacks from malware, virus, and phishing.
We also offer custom-made solutions. If the existing plans do not meet your requirements, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team for a personalized plan.
Pricing and Support
Shadow Hosting’s plans come with different prices. The plans hosted in its Luxembourg data center are more expensive when you consider the fact that it offers lesser resources than the India-based plans with close prices. Aside from this, its other prices are fair.
The billing cycles on the three categories of shared plans also differ. The plans based in India can be subscribed to on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis while Luxembourg plans are only available on a semi-annual subscription. The WordPress plans can only be subscribed to quarterly and semi-annually.
Available billing methods are PayPal, bank transfer, credit/debit cards, Wallets, Bitcoin, Net Banking, and Razorpay payment gateway. There’s also a seven-day money-back guarantee period.
Shadow Hosting’s support is through knowledge base, contact form, phone number, live chat, and Discord Community. Although the support staff was offline, I sent a message through the live chat and got an email reply a few hours later.
