The parent company behind the SH brand began operating in 2005. From 2009 to 2013, it built its modern data center infrastructure to provide clients with an extensive array of services including hosting, server leasing, CDN, and VMware cloud services. From May 2013, the company started serving its customers via the SH brand.
SH serves its Turkish customers with web hosting, reseller hosting, dedicated servers, cloud servers, domain registration and transfer, and SSL packages. It has over 50,000 web hosting accounts, more than 4,000 cloud servers, and 6,000+ physical servers.
The SH website is Turkish.
Features and Ease of Use
SH offers eight shared hosting plans (four each for Linux and Windows) and six reseller hosting plans (three each) plus three MSSQL hosting plans. Also, ten SSL packages.
The company’s Linux and Windows shared hosting plans vary in terms of disk space (1 GB to 20 GB), bandwidth (20 GB to unlimited), the number of email accounts (25 to unlimited), and the number of MySQL databases (1 to 5). All shared hosting plans also come with:
- cPanel (Linux) / Plesk (Windows) control panel
- Instant setup
- Unlimited subdomains
- WordPress, Joomla, Drupal compatible
- IMAP and POP3 email accounts
- Data security guarantee
- Spam mail protection
- RAID redundancy
Although no specific uptime guarantee is mentioned for shared hosting plans, 99.99% access is alluded to for SSD-based dedicated servers that also offer high-performance DDR4 RAM and BIOS-level management with IP KVM interfaces.
SH also provides cloud servers that offer 100% operating system compatibility. This means you have the freedom to select your preferred operating system from options such as Debian, CentOS, Fedora, Elastix, Ubuntu, FreeBSD, or Windows.
Pricing and Support
SH’s shared hosting plans are very cheap. And surprisingly, its Windows hosting plans cost the same as its Linux plans. You can pay in USD via various methods, on billing periods from annual to triennial, with increasing discounts for increasing commitments.
SH provides 24/7 customer support via telephone, ticket system, email, online contact form, and even fax. Unfortunately, my exploratory email received no response, possibly because I wasn’t a fully signed-up customer when I sent it. On the plus side, SH provides a pretty comprehensive “Frequently Asked Questions” knowledge base:
