Based in Bangladesh, SatisfyHost was founded in 2012 and specializes in a wide range of hosting solutions. Those solutions include shared hosting, VPS hosting, reseller hosting, dedicated servers, domain registration, and other hosting-related services. It operates through data centers located in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Nigeria, Ukraine, Finland, India, China, and Australia.
The SatisfyHost website is quite informative but only available in English. You can choose to view the prices in U.S. dollars or Bangladeshi taka.
Features and Ease of Use
SatisfyHost has three categories of shared hosting plans – regular shared hosting, Business hosting, and Premium shared hosting. They all vary in storage and monthly bandwidth but come with unlimited FTP accounts, email accounts, databases, subdomains, and parked domains, as standard.
The regular shared hosting and the Business hosting categories also have a custom plan you can build to your exact requirements. Other than that, all plans across all categories come with a standard set of features, including the following:
- cPanel control panel
- Softaculous installer
- SSD storage
- Free SSL certificates
- CloudLinux OS
- Free domain
- Free daily backups
SatisfyHost’s shared servers run on CloudLinux OS, which securely isolates each account from other accounts on the same server. This protects you against unwanted threats targeting other accounts. At the same time, it ensures the fair allocation of server resources.
Its uptime guarantee is a little confusing. The website’s homepage states that it’s 99.99%, which is quite impressive, but if you head over to the shared hosting plans page, it says that the uptime guarantee is only 99%. When I contacted customer support, I was advised that the uptime guarantee is 99%.
Managing your website is easy thanks to the free cPanel license that comes with all plans. The cPanel control panel is one of the most commonly used among hosting providers due to its highly user-friendly management interface and numerous built-in tools.
One of the useful tools within cPanel is the Softaculous installer which has hundreds of supported applications and scripts. Installing these applications is as easy as downloading and installing apps from the app store on your smartphone. The supported applications include WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, and many more.
SatisfyHost may appear to have it all, but it doesn’t stack up to other web hosting providers in its tier that offer more robust and resourceful hosting at an affordable rate. That’s why it didn’t manage to snatch a spot in this top web hosting comparison.
Pricing and Support
Even though SatisfyHost’s prices seem cheap, I’ve come across other hosts that offer more resources in the same price range. In other words, SatisfyHost is an affordable host but is not the best when it comes to value-for-money.
You can choose to pay for your services monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually, biennially, or triennially through a wide range of accepted payment methods. As previously mentioned, you can also choose to pay in U.S. dollars or Bangladeshi taka. A 3-day money-back guarantee backs all plans. Compared to the industry standard (30 days), this is considered a short period to test the service thoroughly.
The SatisfyHost website itself is informative, but the knowledgebase is relatively limited in the number of articles it contains and the topics it covers. This left me with a bunch of questions to ask customer support.
Our customer support operates 24/7 and is accessible via live chat, phone, support ticket, and email. I opted for the live chat feature and experienced varying availability. Initially, I promptly connected to an agent, whereas on other occasions, I was directed to submit a ticket instead. It’s worth noting that the availability was affected by the global pandemic, which compromised the service.
