In business since 2009, S-NET offers a range of server-based services, including cloud hosting, colocation, IT outsourcing, and telecommunications equipment. It owns three data centers where its servers are located in Katowice, Warsaw, and Krakow, Poland. The company’s main website is in Polish only, but its sub-website where hosting offers are detailed has an English version.
Features and Ease of Use
Cloud hosting and colocation are not the only hosting services that the company offers. If you’re in the market for shared hosting, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), or dedicated servers, it provides those as well.
Shared hosting comes in three plans that offer enough resources for most small and medium-sized business websites. Customers on any of the plans get the following features:
- 99.8% uptime
- Unlimited add-on domains
- Up to 100GB storage space
- Unlimited bandwidth
S-NET shared hosting customers are provided with the DirectAdmin control panel. The control panel is simple and organized with all settings categorized under Account Manager, Email Manager, Advanced Features, System Info & Files, and Extra Features. They are all on the top-bar making any feature that you need easy to find.
It supports PHP and Perl, and you can set up one simultaneous cron job at a time. The web host provides an application auto-installer that you can use to setup most popular web applications like Magento and WordPress easily. There’s no website builder tool provided, though.
If you want to host your Magento, Prestashop, or Shoper store, S-NET provides custom cloud solutions that automatically scale resources up or down as your online store requires. It also provides an ERP system if you request one and helps with the administration and security of your E-commerce store.
Another thing that I like about the E-commerce cloud solutions is the automatic backups. Backups are taken every day in three copies of each file. You should not have to worry about restoring your website if anything goes wrong.
Pricing and Support
S-NET shared hosting comes in three plans with different storage space and number of MySQL databases provided. There’s no free trial to test any of them, but the prices are low. The prices are listed in Polish zloty for a year of hosting.
You cannot place orders directly on the company’s website. To place an order, you’ll have to contact the sales representatives through the provided contact form on the hosting page or by phone call.
However, you can buy its VPS and cloud hosting plans directly on the website. The prices are budget-friendly for the features provided, and you have the option to pay for hosting on a monthly basis. Payment methods include card, PayPal wallet, or bank transfer.
Customer support starts from a knowledge base with tutorials. You can also contact a support agent through phone and email. I sent an email but didn’t get a reply, even after waiting for several weeks.
