Based in Spain, Riosecoweb is a web hosting company that was founded about 15 years ago. Today it offers SSD shared hosting, WordPress hosting, VPS (virtual private server) hosting, dedicated servers, domain registration, web design, and other web-related products. Even though the company is based in Spain, its servers are in France.
The Riosecoweb website can be viewed only in Spanish. It has a user-friendly layout and all prices are displayed in euros.
Features and Ease of Use
Riosecoweb offers four main shared hosting plans – Basic, Medium, Expert, and Professional. The plans mainly differ in storage (4 GB to 15 GB), monthly bandwidth, and MySQL databases. The features offered in the plans are rather limited compared to a lot of hosting providers I’ve reviewed.
All plans include:
- cPanel
- SSD storage
- Free SSL certificate
- Free domain
- Automated regular backups
- Free website migration
- Cron jobs
Riosecoweb plans use SSD storage, which performs much faster than the standard HDD storage, giving a boost to the overall performance of your website.
I’m pleased to see cPanel included with all hosting packages. Popular for both its wide range of built-in tools and its ease of use, cPanel’s highly user-friendly management interface allows you to control all aspects of your website, including managing domains, website files, databases, backup intervals, and much more.
Additionally, cron jobs is a great time-saving tool that automatically executes your website’s tasks. Instead of taking on every task yourself at a specific time, all you need to do is input the task in the tool, set the time for the task to take place, and leave the rest to cron jobs.
If your website is too large for these plans or requires higher resource allocations, you can always go with one of Riosecoweb’s VPS hosting plans.
Pricing and Support
Considering Riosecoweb’s minimalist features and specifications, its prices appear slightly higher in comparison to its competitors. You can opt for any of the plans, which are offered on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual contract basis.
Most of Riosecoweb’s services are backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee, and the only accepted payment method is credit/debit card.
Unfortunately, the knowledge base on the website is empty, and the FAQ section contains only four articles, which isn’t very helpful.
You can get in touch with the customer support team through phone, support ticket, and email. Since I had a few questions, I tested the two online channels. Sadly, it took nearly three weeks to get a response.
On the upside, remote support via TeamViewer is available for its current clients.
