Russian website hosting company Relevate claims to have more than 150 customer reviews, some of which, dating back to 2010, are listed on its old-style English-language website.
Features and Ease of Use
Relevate sells shared website hosting, VPS packages, and CMS hosting. As standard, its hosting plans come with these core features:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Backup options
- Up to 10 add-on domains
- Up to 7 GB disk space
- Unlimited monthly traffic
Servers are located in a Tier III data center in the Russian Federation and a Tier IV data center in Europe. Those data center tiers mean you should experience less than 1.6 hours and less than 26 minutes of downtime respectively. Relevate’s website states various uptime guarantees, with the most common being the industry-standard 99.9% uptime that tallies with the third-party uptime tracker I was directed to by Relevate’s customer services.
The hosting packages support “99% of all CMS programs.” I’m not sure how this is measured, but I can tell you that all the popular ones — 1C-Bitrix, Drupal, WordPress, and Joomla! — can be installed via the one-click installer that’s part of the popular cPanel control panel.
Pricing and Support
All of the hosting packages are relatively well-priced, and discounts are available for purchasing longer terms upfront. For example, you can get 30% off an annual plan. You can even take a 10-day test drive with no features restrictions, but I’m not sure that this is long enough to assess the services entirely. You can also get a free .ru domain when you sign up to the top tier plan on annual terms, but it’s unclear if this includes SSL.
There are plenty of ways to contact this company, including telephone, email, and live chat. To test the support system, I sent a message via live chat at around lunchtime on a weekday. It took about 30 minutes for the agent to pick up, and he responded to me in Russian despite my original request being in English.
If you prefer self-support, you’ll find an FAQ page and a fairly extensive knowledge base.
