Founded in 2008, PusatHosting is a low-cost web host based on the island of Java in Indonesia. It provides standard hosting, VPS cloud, SVN hosting, and domain registration. Standard hosting is provided via its East Java, Indonesia-based data center, while VPS cloud hosting is via servers in Singapore and the United States. The website is in Indonesian with some sections and pages in English.
Features and Ease of Use
PusatHosting offers three levels of standard hosting, all of which come with unlimited traffic bandwidth. Some of the general hosting features provided are:
- 14-day free hosting trial
- 30-day money-back guarantee
- Free SSL certificate
- Data backups
- Auto malware detection
- Telephone customer support
The entry-level plan comes with 350MB of storage, 1 CPU core, 256MB RAM, and three databases. The next step up increases these data allowances to 2,000MB of storage, 1.5 CPU cores, 512MB RAM, and five databases. On the top-tier plan, the data offering is 10GB of storage, 2.5 CPU cores, 1500MB RAM, and 10 databases. These standard plans are hosted at the data center in East Java, Indonesia.
For customers looking for a higher-level service, Pusat also offers managed VPS cloud hosting based in either Singapore or the U.S. These managed plans feature 2GB-8GB RAM, 40GB-100GB SSD storage, 1-4 CPU cores, and 2TB-4TB of traffic bandwidth.
PusatHosting plans come with free shared Let’s Encrypt SSL through the hosting panel. However, a private SSL certificate through Comodo is available as an additional purchase for a two-year term. Both options are available through PusatHosting making securing your website simple and easy.
Another potentially useful service that PusatHosting provides is its Blogspot to WordPress conversion. If a customer already has a blog on the Blogspot platform, when they sign up for a hosting plan with this provider, the team at PusatHosting will transfer their blog data over to a new WordPress blog on the new hosting plan.
Pricing and support
Pricing for PusatHosting’s standard web hosting plans is incredibly cheap, especially for the entry-level plan. For less than the price of a small bottle of water per month, you can enjoy a starter web hosting package that should get low-end users up and running. For a bit more data, the mid-tier package is still around 50% cheaper than a comparable plan with an American or European hosting provider.
Stepping up to the managed VPS cloud plans, the price increases but is very fair compared to competitors for the level of data and services included.
All standard plans come with a 14-day free trial, a 30-day money-back guarantee, and can be paid for either monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. Managed VPS cloud plans require a three-month minimum term and can also be paid for every six or 12 months.
At the time of this review, the company advertised multiple discounts. One of these deals is a buy one, get one offer, where customers can receive a free hosting package when they purchase one year of paid hosting. Additionally, there is a 30% discount available for new customers, as well as discounts on multiple hosting plans purchased.
Customer support is handled via telephone, Facebook Messenger chat, and email. I reached out via email with a general sales query but did not get a response.
