Protescil.NET is an Instanbul-based website hosting provider with a Turkish-language website. It was founded in 2013, and it claims to enjoy an impressive 100% customer happiness record.
Features and Ease of Use
Protescil.NET offers website hosting, domain names, SSL certificates, website design, and SMS services. Its shared hosting plans come with the following features as standard:
- Weekly automatic backups
- Domain registration available
- Free SSL certificates
- Up to 5 GB SSD disk space
- Up to unlimited traffic per month
I am struck initially by Protescil’s performance-enhancing features (including SSD storage that is ten times faster than traditional HDD storage) and its use of CloudLinux (which isolates you from the effects of other “badly behaved” hosted users).
Hosting plans are managed using the popular cPanel control panel, and on the highest hosting plan, you can choose between the Windows or Linux operating system. Although you get free weekly backups, these may not be frequent enough for rapid website development.
If you’re not comfortable with coding or website design, I can tell you that Protescil provides website design and development as a separate service.
Pricing and Support
Compared with local and international competitors, Protescil’s prices are very affordable for the features on offer. You get an SSL certificate for free, but you have to pay extra for a domain name. Plans are priced on a yearly basis, but you have to create an account before buying your hosting, which you may be reluctant to do until you see exactly what you’ll be getting (and on what terms).
It’s good to see 24/7 support. The (publicly available) contact channels are limited to telephone, email, and an online contact form, but I’d be surprised if you couldn’t submit support tickets when signed into the customer panel. Although there is a live chat pop-up, it appears to be offline a lot of the time.
Without logging in as a current customer, I can’t be certain about what self-support resources may be available, but I’ve come across an informative set of entries in this provider’s blog.
