PNET Informatics was established in 2009 in the Turkish province of Kocaeli, to provide corporate internet services. Today, it offers a range of web hosting and reseller hosting plans, VDS, dedicated servers, domain registration, and SSL certificates.
PNET’s website is in Turkish.
Features and Ease of Use
PNET offers three “economic” shared hosting plans, three “pro” hosting plans, three “corporate” hosting plans, three “overseas” hosting plans, two reseller plans, 12 VDS cloud server plans (in a Turkish data center), and dedicated servers located in various countries (Turkey, France, Netherlands, and Germany).
The hosting plans feature:
- 250 MB to 1 GB disk space
- 10 GB to 30 GB monthly traffic
- Two to four email accounts
- One database
- One subdomain
The cPanel control panel lets you select your PHP version from 5.4 up to 7.x. Websites are hosted on the LiteSpeed Web Server that is 60% faster than Apache, but you get a surprisingly low 99% uptime.
Although PNET performs regular backups, it absolves itself of any responsibility for customer data, so you’re encouraged to back up your own data unless your contract says otherwise.
Pricing and Support
PNET’s shared hosting plans are cheap. You can pay for them in Turkish lira via credit card or bank transfer on billing cycles from monthly to triennial. Web and reseller hosting packages come with a seven-day money-back guarantee, which (in my opinion) is too short to test the services. Dedicated servers, domains, and SSL certificates are not refundable.
Although you can contact PNET by telephone, ticket (existing customers), email, or online contact form, my email queries received no responses. The good news is that I did get some good support via Facebook Messenger:
As far as I can see, there aren’t any self-support resources available.
