Polish hosting company Ogicom was founded in 2002. It provides a range of web hosting, dedicated server, VPS, and reseller hosting plans plus associated services such as SSL, domain registration, and SEO.
Ogicom’s website is in Polish.
Features and Ease of Use
Ogicom provides different hosting packages to meet different needs. Its standard shared hosting features include:
- DDoS protection
- SSH access
- Free SSL certificates
- PHP 5.3 – 7.0
- Cron jobs
- CGI access
- Unlimited data transfer
Unlike many hosting vendors, Ogicom is quite generous with its storage space and several other features. Of the four package sizes – Mini, Medium, Max, and Ultimate – the Mini plan comes with 60 GB disk storage. The Medium and Max packages include 120 GB and 250 GB web space and free SSL certificates, which makes them ideal for small business websites. The Ultimate plan has the largest storage capacity of 500 GB plus the aforementioned free SSL certificate.
The good news gets even better as all plans offer unlimited domains, subdomains, email accounts, FTP accounts, and MySQL databases.
Advanced webmasters will appreciate the technical features that include Perl, Python, Django, Ruby on Rails, ionCube PHP Loader, PHP.ini settings, and .htaccess.
Pricing and Support
The web hosting packages are pretty inexpensive for the web space and unlimited domains you get even with the smallest package.
Since most of Ogicom’s customers are based in Poland, all prices are presented in Polish zloty, and you can pay by PayU, PSC card, bank transfer, or premium rate SMS. You can assert your statutory right to a refund within 14 days.
I found Ogicom’s support to be very substandard. My test support ticket received an automated acknowledgment (so far, so good) followed by a next-day response advising me that my ticket had been summarily closed… and asking me to rate the support I (hadn’t) received. Maybe you can expect a better level of service if you sign up for the advertised dedicated helpline:
