Poland-based NETMARK has been in business since 2005 and offers both shared hosting and VPS services. Their shared hosting offers robust bandwidth, unlimited domains, and free SSL certificates. This host is an excellent choice for most personal and small business websites.
Features and Ease of Use
NETMARK offers solid shared web hosting services with the following basic features:
- NVMe SSD storage
- Robust bandwidth of 40GB or more
- Unlimited domains
- Unlimited MySQL databases
- Unlimited email accounts
Also, you’ll get solid security along with the following value-added features:
- Free Comodo SSL certificates
- Cron jobs
- Anti-virus and anti-spam protection
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Supports PHP 5.2 and up
The inclusion of unlimited MySQL databases even in their entry-level plan was a nice perk, given that most hosts severely restrict these in a bid to get users to upgrade to a higher-tier plan. Plus, in addition to free SSL certificates, you get a free domain on a year’s subscription for their Mini plans or better.
NETMARK allows access to some advanced developmental features, such as custom CGI scripts, but they do not provide access for Python and Ruby. However, they do offer support for PHP from version 5.2 and up, so this host is still suitable for all but the most advanced websites.
If you’re a beginner, this is a solid choice as they offer both a website builder and Installatron that will allow instant installations for WordPress and other popular apps. You can also upload files using FTP or cPanel.
Pricing and Support
NETMARK offers six shared hosting plans, each with all of the features listed above. The only differences between plans are the storage and bandwidth, as defined below:
Micro | Mini | Midi | Big | Max | Max+ | |
Storage | 4GB | 8GB | 20GB | 40GB | 60GB | 120GB |
Bandwidth | 40GB | 100GB | 200GB | 300GB | 500GB | 1TB |
Free Domain? | No | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Micro and Mini are solid for one or two domains, but lack storage for heavy-duty websites or for those wanting to host numerous domains. Otherwise, I like the storage and bandwidth allocations on most of these plans.
Note that the free domain is not offered on the Micro plan and it’s only available on other plans if you sign up for at least one year’s service. Thereafter though, the domain will be renewed for as long as you remain on their service, which outshines most other web hosts that only offer a free domain for the first year. Also, note that monthly pricing is not available for their Micro or Mini plans. One thing they do offer is free SSL certification through Comodo, saving you money on every domain hosted.
Pricing as a whole is better than average compared to other hosts, making them very affordable, especially considering that most plans offer a free domain and SSL certificates. Each plan comes with a seven-day money back guarantee.
NETMARK’s support is average with telephone, online ticket, and a self-help knowledge base. Phone support is only open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. They are closed on weekends. Broader support hours and live chat support would be nice additions to see in the future from this provider.
