Maromania Review 2024 – Cheap, but What’s the True Price?

Maromania has been offering website hosting services in Morocco since 2004. During that time, they have earned a solid reputation as being the cheapest web host in Morocco, but in this case, low cost does not mean cheap hosting. They offer multiple shared hosting plans that are perfect for most personal and business websites with excellent security and the flexibility to grow as your site grows.

Features and Ease of Use

Maromania gives you reliable web hosting solutions that are great for personal and business websites alike. Here are some of the standard features available on every plan.

• Softaculous Auto-installer with 410 pre-installed scripts

If you’re looking for a host with strong security, anti-DDoS protection, and the ability to host multiple MySQL databases, this is the host for you. Here are some of the advanced features on each package.

• 5 or more MySQL databases
• PHP from 5.6 to 7

This service is suitable for most webmasters, but not for those needing drag and drop website builder tools. They are not offered. There is an auto-installer which will allow you to install WordPress and many other CMS tools. Otherwise, you can upload your files and design your site through their cPanel.

I wish they had more support for web programming languages like Python, but they do support PHP from 5.6 to 7, so you have some flexibility in your design.

Pricing and Support

Maromania offers five packages for shared hosting, each with the same basic features mentioned earlier. The differences in the plans are as follows:

I like the storage allocation for each plan as many personal and small business sites will have plenty of storage for their needs. Something else I like is that there are no size limitations on MySQL databases outside the plan storage limit. With that said, if you plan to host large databases, you will want to upgrade to Professional or higher.

Two things I wish were offered on all plans are free domains and SSL certificates. There are many hosts that offer both.

Maromania offers average support for their services with telephone, email, and ticket support. They presently don’t offer live chat support. Phone support is only available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. CET. Also, they don’t provide an ETA on email inquiries.

There is a searchable database available that can answer basic questions, but you’ll need to contact support for all other issues. It’s quite disappointing that a service that holds so much promise lacks 24/7 support, whether it be through chat or any other means.
