American hosting provider HostRush was founded in 2012. It is headquartered in Buffalo, New York, and has servers in Dallas, Texas. HostRush offers shared hosting, VPS hosting, reseller hosting, WordPress hosting, dedicated servers, and domain registration.
The HostRush English-language is informative but not particularly attractive.
Features and Ease of Use
HostRush offers three kinds of shared hosting — Web Hosting, Unlimited Hosting, and Business Web Hosting — each with a separate set of price plans. The most noticeable difference between the packages is the disk space.
The three Web Hosting packages provide disk space ranging from 12 GB to 40 GB. The Unlimited Hosting plans provide disk space of 30 GB or 40 GB. The Business Hosting packages provide disk space of 16 GB and 20 GB.
Other features that are common to all categories and plans are:
- SSD storage
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Free SSL certificate (only with Web Hosting plans)
- Daily backups
- cPanel
- Site Builder
All plans are administered via the user-friendly cPanel control panel that gives you complete control over all aspects of your website, such as adding/removing email accounts and domains. You can also control how frequently your website backups are performed. The included Softaculous installer helps you install CMS and other apps with a single click: WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, Magento, and more.
You can use Cron jobs to schedule tasks to be performed periodically.
Pricing and Support
Compared with other U.S. hosts, HostRush’s prices are quite attractive. Whichever plan you pick, you can choose to be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually, and you pay less (pro-rata) for the annual plan. Pay for your plan using PayPal or your credit/debit card.
You get a good 30-day money-back guarantee with monthly subscriptions and a very generous 75-day money-back guarantee with quarterly or annual billing cycles.
I was let down to find out that HostRush’s support doesn’t live up to its appealing prices. Despite promoting telephone, ticket, and email support channels, my exploratory email went unanswered. Adding to the disappointment, the knowledge base is empty, and there are no tutorials or FAQs available. Absolutely nothing!
