Overview

HostLease features1

HostLease is a subsidiary of HostLease Media Group NL, a Dutch company with its head office based in a municipality of Heerde in the Netherlands. The hosting firm has built up its web hosting expertise since its inception over a decade ago. Its main offerings include shared web hosting, reseller hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers.

It also registers free domains as well as offering free hosting packages to businesses worldwide.

Features and Ease of Use

All HostLease web hosting services are powered by a multilingual cPanel control panel with support for languages such as Dutch, English, French, Portuguese, Russian, Norwegian, Spanish, Ukrainian, German, and Bulgarian, among others. Its plans come with the following standard features:

  • Free reseller WHM control panel
  • 5% CPU allowance
  • 1Gbps internet uplink
  • Unlimited SSD storage
  • Unlimited monthly bandwidth
  • Free SSL certificates
  • PHP version selector

HostLease website services come with a free professional domain name and include a Softaculous one-click installer with over 350+ applications allowing you to install a range of popular scripts to suit the requirements of your website; whether it’s a blog, website, forum, or online store.

The three free hosting packages – 0G free shared hosting, 1G free reseller hosting, and 2G free VPS hosting – stood out for me. 0G free shared hosting includes 5GB SSD disk space, 50GB monthly bandwidth, one domain hosted, and five cPanel extensions.

The disk limit and total monthly bandwidth for 1G free reseller plan are 10GB and 100GB respectively, and the plan comes with three cPanel extensions, although it does not include free SSL certificates.

2G free VPS hosting comes with most features with 1GB free shared hosting, except that it includes add-ons such as 256MB RAM, 256MB vSwap, 1 CPU core, 1 IPv4 address, and DDoS protection.

This hosting provider employs servers featuring the fastest and safest disks configured in RAID 1/10 array technology. These servers are located in the Netherlands, the United States, and France. However, it’s worth noting that while HostLease hosting services encompass self-managed backups, these are exclusively available for specific plans.

Pricing and Support

Given that HostLease offers free hosting services, it’s no surprise that its hosting plans are quite cheap. The plans are available with monthly billing cycles but longer contracts of a year or more, will attract pretty significant discounts. All prices are listed in euros.

HostLease provides customers with a no-questions-asked 14-day money-back guarantee as well as a 99.9 % SLA uptime guarantee.

HostLease support

To contact the HostLease support center, customers may do so via telephone, email, or ticketing system. All the same, the vendor has yet to provide live chat support. Its technical support team is available 24/7/365 and includes a team of system admins and developers to support customers whenever they need help.

Alternatively, DIY customers can use the vendor’s knowledge base for more insight about its services.
