HostingMania began its business journey in January 2004. Since then, it has helped individuals and businesses in its domestic (Serbia) and foreign markets meet their hosting and domain-related needs.
HostingMania’s website supports Bosnian.
Features and Ease of Use
HostingMania offers four shared hosting plans – Personal, Basic, Standard, and Profi – that differ mainly in terms of disk space (100 MB – 10 GB), bandwidth (5 – 10 GB/month), the number of FTP accounts (1 – 30) and email accounts (2 – 100).
While the Personal plan is ideal for individuals, the Basic plan is designed to meet the needs of more advanced users and small businesses. Medium and larger businesses can take their pick from the Standard and Profi plans according to the required resources.
All plans come with:
- cPanel control panel
- Email filtering
- Webmail
- Antivirus and anti-spam
- .htaccess
- Backup/restore
You’ll also get Webalizer and AWStats to analyze your web traffic, and with the bandwidth analyzer, you can monitor network bandwidth metrics and data.
The Personal plan is pretty limited in terms of features, so you won’t get these features that you get with the higher plans: email forwarding and autoresponder, PHP support, MySQL/phpMyAdmin, Perl/CGI script support, and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) support.
If you can’t find a standard plan to meet your needs, you can request a custom package so that you can select the required amounts of storage space, bandwidth, and email accounts. You can also buy extra web add-ons (such as disk space, dedicated IP/SSL, and more) by making the corresponding payment.
Even with the higher plans, you don’t get beginner-friendly features such as a website builder or one-click installer.
HostingMania offers DNS hosting, to give you complete control of your domain and subdomains. And you can opt for this service even if you don’t have a domain registered with HostingMania. When I queried the company, they told me that they also have four cloud solutions (not mentioned on the website) and could offer me a test server for a month.
Pricing and Support
HostingMania’s plans are dirt cheap, but you have to commit to a term of between 1 and 5 years. Since there is no free trial period and no money-back commitment, you might be reluctant to commit to even a year.
The pricing of all plans is listed in Serbian dinar, but the payment process itself is somewhat unclear. It appears that you need to provide proof of a separate payment made by you.
HostinMania’s self-support resources are limited to just a few FAQs and a couple of PDF/Word documents to download (mainly about email client setup). The good news is that I received a response to my online support form submission within an hour:
