Nath Network & Telecom Inc. was established in 2010 as a residential VoIP services provider in New York. In 2015, it added cloud hosting to the bouquet of services that it began offering under the HostFav Brand. Today, HostFav has two data centers – one in New York City and another in Fremont, California. It offers Linux and Windows shared and reseller hosting, managed and unmanaged Linux and Windows cloud VPS, and dedicated servers. It also offers domain services and SSL certificates.
HostFav’s website is in English, but its client area can be translated into twenty-five additional languages.
Features and Ease of Use
HostFav offers six shared hosting plans (three each for Linux and Windows), six reseller hosting plans (three each for Linux and Windows), nine LXC (Linux Containers) VPS, seven KVM cloud VPS, three fully managed VPS, and five dedicated server hosting plans. With the Linux shared hosting plans, you get:
- Hosting for 1 to 50 websites
- cPanel control panel
- 10 GB to 50 GB website space
- 512 GB to 1024 GB bandwidth
- 25 to 500 email accounts
- 25 to 100 FTP accounts
- MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Custom Cron jobs
- SSH
The highest plan comes with one SSL certificate and Site Backup Pro backup protection. The other two plans don’t have SSL, but they do come with regular backups. All plans provide you with a domain name.
If you’re not very tech-savvy, building a website can be quite challenging. But don’t worry, HostFav has a drag-and-drop website builder that makes things much easier. Additionally, the SimpleScripts one-click installer allows you to easily install and run various popular applications for blogs, online stores, photo galleries, and more. With HostFav’s e-commerce package, you can even create your own online store.
As alternatives to share hosting, the LXC (Linux Containers) hosting ensures efficient real-time allocation of resources and provides you with a more secure hosting environment. HostFav also offers KVM virtual machines that offer enhanced performance in virtualized environments. You get complete control of your hosting environment via full root access (for Linux) and RDP (for Windows).
Servers use fast and reliable SSD RAID storage, and the completely redundant network has no single point of failure. Shared hosting customers get a 99.99% uptime guarantee, whereas virtual and dedicated servers come with a lower 99.9% uptime guarantee.
Pricing and Support
The shared hosting plans are competitively priced, but it may be impossible to purchase them because (at the time of writing) they’re all showing as “out of stock”. It might not matter, then, that HostFav offers a 30-day money-back guarantee (or maybe a seven-day money-back guarantee for VPS; it’s confusing).
For support, HostFav has a 24/7 call center along with a support ticket system, email, and live chat. Live chat was unavailable when I wanted to try it, and (unfortunately) my email queries went unanswered. If you have to resort to self-support, you’ll find a knowledge base, but it’s limited.
