Hosted is an Israel-based company that specializes in a variety of cloud computing solutions, including cloud-based VPS (virtual private server) hosting. The company was founded nearly 20 years ago and all its servers are based in Israel.
The Hosted website has a professional layout but is quite limited in information and resources. The website is available only in Hebrew, and there aren’t any price plans displayed.
Features and Ease of Use
Hosted doesn’t offer fixed-price plans. Instead, you can customize a package down to every detail. This includes memory, processors, storage, and all server resources. The available features and specifications include the following:
- Support of both Windows and Linux
- Daily website backups
- Installation of all required software within an hour
- Additional server resources allocated at any time, if required
Hosted also offers cloud-based enterprise email hosting which, like the VPS hosting, is fully customizable. However, the basic features are the same across any configuration. This includes:
- No maintenance costs
- System designed, established, and tested by Microsoft
- Antivirus
- Anti-spam
- Support for Blackberry, Apple, and Android devices
- Automatic daily backups
Compared to several other enterprise hosting companies, the features offered by Hosted aren’t just limited, they’re also not impressive.
Pricing and Support
Because the website appears to be extremely basic and lacks transparency in advertising its pricing system, I reached out to the customer support team in an attempt to gather additional information regarding its average prices, available payment methods, and refund policy. Unfortunately, my inquiry did not yield a response.
I’m not surprised that there’s no knowledge base or an FAQ section. Customer support options include phone, ticket, live chat, and email. Unfortunately, the email listed on the website is incorrect, so my email wasn’t actually delivered.
I managed to get in touch with live chat support. The agent offered to call me to answer questions, but I asked for a response via email. It’s been over a week and still no answer.
