Founded in 2015, Hostazor is a relatively new hosting provider with an office in the U.S. and one in Turkey. Their attractively simple website is available fully translated into English and Turkish, and it can be translated into more than fifty languages via the Google Translate plugin that can be found at the bottom of their pages.
Features and Ease of Use
Hostazor offers a wide range of hosting services including shared hosting, dedicated servers, virtual private servers, and reseller hosting. As standard, their shared hosting plans come with the following core features:
- 99.99% SLA uptime guarantee
- Manual customer backups,
- Free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate
- 2GB to unmetered disk space
- Unmetered bandwidth
- A one-click installer for popular programs
This vendor offers three Linux cloud hosting plans with the dinosaur-sounding names Raptor, Ceratosaurus, and Trex. These plans come with 2GB, 20GB and unlimited disk space, and 15%, 30%, and 50% CPU limits. All plans come with unlimited data transfer and an excellent one-click installer for almost 450 scripts. In terms of software, the Linux plans use the popular cPanel control panel, CloudLinux, and the LiteSpeed Web Server that is five times faster than Apache.
As well as shared Linux hosting, they also sell three WordPress hosting plans with the customary dinosaur-sounding names: Raptor WordPress Hosting, Aetonyx WordPress Hosting, and Trex WordPress Hosting. Web space ranges from 1GB to unlimited, RAM ranges from 4GB to 17GB, and bandwidth is unmetered on all plans. The WordPress plans also include some useful features such as LSCache (which includes an exclusive server-level cache), WordPress Multisite, plus compatibility with popular plugins like WooCommerce, bbPress, and Yoast SEO.
All Hostazor’s plans come with a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate and JetBackup snapshot and backup services. Finally, beginners will love the very slick website building tool that comes free with all shared hosting plans. Not only is it mobile responsive, but it also integrates with shopping carts and payment gateways for e-commerce stores.
Pricing and Support
I’m impressed with Hostazor’s pricing. Their prices are in line, if not a little lower than most other companies. But the inclusions are still really comprehensive. Some everyday users could get by with the very affordable base Linux hosting plan and still enjoy use of the premium one-click installer.
You can purchase hosting on one, three, six, and twelve-month terms, but there is no discount for purchasing a longer plan up-front. Beware that you do need to select backups and the snapshot service in the checkout flow even though there is no additional cost. You have to pay extra if you want a dedicated IP address and SSH access. Although the wording (in the English version) is a little confusing, the terms and conditions do appear to hint at a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Customer service is advertised as 24/7 by email, ticket and live chat, but their live chat was offline when I visited their website which is also home to a small knowledge base.
