Host4Fun is a hosting brand of Indian company QuadSpark IT Solutions Private Limited. This company, which appears to have been founded in 2014, has a modern English language website and makes use of multiple worldwide data centers.
Features and Ease of Use
Host4Fun sells a decent set of hosting services that range from shared hosting to VPS and dedicated servers. As standard, the shared hosting plans come with the following features:
- 99.99% uptime guarantee
- Up to unlimited add-on domains
- Free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates
- Up to 10 GB storage space
- Up to 100 GB monthly bandwidth
Shared hosting servers are located in Romania and the U.S.A., so you can choose the location closest to your target customers.
The shared hosting solutions use the classic combination of the cPanel control panel and the Softaculous installer (for around 400 programs). This means it is easy to set up software such as WordPress or the Cloudflare CDN. The CloudLinux operating system helps isolate you from the effects of fellow hosted customers, and SSD storage ensures disk read/write speeds up to ten times faster than traditional HDD.
You have the option to select one of 36 data centers located in Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the Americas for your data to be served from. Additionally, you can decide whether to pay an extra fee for faster SSD storage or choose the more affordable HDD option.
Pricing and Support
Prices are low compared with many other hosts offering a similar service, both locally and internationally. The very affordable base plan comes with 1 GB storage and 10 GB bandwidth, which should be sufficient for most smaller websites.
It’s not all good news. You can’t register a domain at Host4Fun (so you’ll have to do this via a third-party domain registrar), and you can only buy hosting on annual terms (so you can’t sign up on a less risky monthly cycle). This provider’s terms and conditions specifically state that there are no refunds apart from a 24-hour refund window for PayPal payments:
For self-support, this vendor’s knowledge base includes only a handful of articles. Therefore, you’ll probably need to contact customer services via ticket, telephone, or email. I’m pleased to say that my pre-sales test ticket received a brief reply the same day that I submitted it.
