The low prices advertised on the website product pages are for triennial billing; other billing cycles are monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and biennial. If you do sign up for a long stretch, the 30-day money-back guarantee should get you out early if anything goes wrong.
You have to pay for plans in U.S. dollars via PayPal, but this presumably opens up the possibility of paying in your home currency (subject to exchange rates) using your credit card.
