Flexihost’s website supports the English and Portuguese languages, but its cart area supports several additional languages.
Features and Ease of Use
Flexihost offers two Linux shared hosting packages (managed and unmanaged), four VPS packages, two dedicated server solutions, and an email hosting package. Reseller packages are also available at extra cost, but these are not detailed.
The Linux shared hosting packages provide you with:
- 99.9% minimum uptime
- 50 GB to unlimited storage space
- 50 GB to unlimited bandwidth
- cPanel
- CloudLinux and CageFS
- MariaDB
- PHP multiple versions
- Git support
- Unlimited email accounts
- SMTP, POP3, IMAP
- Cron jobs
- Daily backups
The Installatron auto-installer allows you to install popular CMS software such as WordPress (plus other popular programs). At the other end of the expertise spectrum, the ionCube security helps protect your PHP code. More generally, the Imunify360 software provides additional security features such as an advanced firewall and malware scanning. The Cloudflare CDN helps protect you against some kinds of cyberattacks while speeding up the loading of your web pages around the world.
Pricing and Support
As you might expect, Flexihost’s unmanaged hosting package is cheap, whereas its managed hosting is expensive. You can bring down the cost by 10% to 40% by paying annually rather than monthly. And if you’re unsure about signing up for a year, you can take advantage of the 14-day free trial that gives you two weeks to assess the quality of the services.
Flexihost’s 24/7 support team can be contacted by telephone (Mondays through Fridays), contact form, live chat, or social media. My test form submission was answered within a couple of hours:
