Dong is an Israeli company that was launched in 2016 and has since been providing web hosting solutions to dozens of customers, particularly in the local market.
Its Moesia-themed website is only available in Hebrew and it features a couple of services, such as web hosting, WordPress hosting, and radio services.
Features and Ease of Use
The offered services are available with the cPanel control panel that is equipped with world-class support and a set of tools and features to help users create and automate all of their server management tasks. With its offerings, you can expect to find the following standard features:
- Linux OS distributions
- Unlimited monthly traffic
- SSD-based storage systems
- Optimized for WordPress sites
Its hosting solutions are powered by ultra-fast Ubuntu servers that are stored in a data center located in Israel. This is good for local customers since they get to host their services in close proximity to their business’ operations for high uptime.
That said, its shared services are pretty basic with just a few features that can only match the needs of small sites or blogs. There are no security measures such as SSL certificates or DDoS protection, and the vendor does not seem to perform backups of its customers’ website accounts.
Also, its website’s content is only designed to appeal to customers with a good understanding of the Hebrew language. As one who cannot read Hebrew, I had a hard time navigating the vendor’s website since some of the content couldn’t be translated even with the use of Google’s translate extension.
Pricing and Support
Given how its hosting services are inadequately equipped, it comes as no surprise that this vendor does not ask for much. The plans are billed monthly and with WordPress solutions, the monthly price also includes services such as building your site upon request as well as updates and maintenance services. Prices are listed in New Israeli shekel.
The vendor offers no refund or money-back guarantee policy, but it promises a 99.9% server uptime so that your website remains online most of the time.
To contact the vendor’s support desk, you can simply give them a call, chat with them on WhatsApp, or send them a message via email. My email query received a response in less than seven hours.
However, I didn’t encounter a support ticketing system or find a live chat window. Additionally, there’s a lack of self-support resources such as a knowledge base, tutorials, or FAQs.
