Russia-based Dobryj Hosting (which means “Good Hosting” in English) specializes in shared hosting, VPS hosting, dedicated servers, and domain registration. It isn’t clear when the company was established, but its news section and Facebook postings go back as far as 2013.
Dobryj Hosting’s simple, modern, Russian-language website displays prices in Russian rubles.
Features and Ease of Use
The six main shared hosting plans are split into two categories — Standard and Business — with the Standard plans understandably having fewer resources. You can also customize a plan according to your specific needs.
Some of the standard features you get with Dobryj Hosting’s hosting are:
- SSD storage
- Antivirus
- Application installer
- Daily backups
- ISPmanager 5 control panel
- Free domain (except for the two lowest plans)
- SSL support (sold separately)
Even though I prefer the popular cPanel control panel, the provided ISPmanager control panel has an equally user-friendly interface to manage all aspects of your website, files, FTP accounts, email accounts, domains, and more. You’ll also get an easy-to-use one-click installer for popular applications like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, PrestaShop, TYPO3, and phpBB.
Pricing and Support
Dobryj Hosting’s prices are competitive with the European and international markets, and you can pay with credit/debit cards, WebMoney, Yandex.Money, bank transfer, and a few other methods. You can choose to be billed monthly, quarterly, semi-annually (with a free domain on the Business plan), or annually (with a free domain on the Standard plan). Although there is no money-back guarantee, you can get a refund for the remainder of your contract if you end it early.
Contacting customer support can be done via telephone, support ticket, or email. Unfortunately, my exploratory email went unanswered. Publicly available self-support resources seem to be limited to a few frequently asked questions.
