CynderHost is a brand new U.S.-based web hosting company founded in April 2020. It specializes in shared hosting, reseller hosting, and MineCraft hosting. All its servers are located in the U.S.
The CynderHost website is only available in English and has limited information. All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars.
Features and Ease of Use
CynderHost offers three budget shared hosting plans – Basic, Elite, and Unlimited. The plans vary in storage, monthly bandwidth, and mailboxes as follows:
- The Basic plan comes with 8 GB of storage, 150 GB of monthly bandwidth, and 15 mailboxes.
- The Elite plan comes with 20 GB of storage, 500 GB of monthly bandwidth, and 30 mailboxes.
- The Unlimited plan comes with 50 GB of storage, unmetered monthly bandwidth, and unlimited mailboxes.
Other key features include:
- cPanel
- Softaculous installer
- Free SSL certificate
- DDoS protection
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- SSD storage
- Automatic backups
The Basic plan comes with the least resources and doesn’t include auto backups, Apache SpamAssassin, or SSH access. It’s suitable for beginners.
The Unlimited package gives you 5-hour auto backups and more advanced tools such as Git Versioning, Python, NodeJS, and Ruby.
The use of SSD disks is a plus as they’re much faster and more efficient than traditional disk drives. SSD helps load your website from different locations and improves its overall performance.
For growing businesses, CynderHost offers a range of price plans called High-Performance Hosting that come with higher specifications and more features such as:
- 20 GB to 80 GB of SSD storage
- 50 GB to 450 GB of CDN bandwidth
- From 1 to 10 domains
These High-Performance packages also come with a range of security features to safeguard your website from malicious threats, including SQL Injection protection, Malware and Rootkit detection, Brute-Force protection, Backdoor protection, 1 Free Hack Clean Up, and DNSSEC.
Before committing to a package, I recommend taking this new host for a spin using its free-trial plan. Although the trial plan comes with limited resources, it’s enough to make a battle-tested decision. The trial plan comes with 1 GB of storage, 1 GB of monthly bandwidth, 1 email account, and supports one domain (not included). This trial account automatically expires after five days.
Pricing and Support
CynderHost offers budget shared hosting plans at affordable rates, but its High-Performance packages stand out as pricier than those of its competitors. You have the flexibility to make monthly payments through various methods, including PayPal, credit/debit cards, Bitcoins, and other available options.
Aside from the 5-day free trial, all plans offer a 7-day money-back guarantee.
As previously mentioned, the website isn’t very informative and has a small Knowledgebase section with a total of eight articles. The only excuse I can give is that it’s only newly launched.
That said, I had a bunch of questions, so I sought advice from CynderHost’s live chat team. A chatbot greeted me before I asked to transfer to a human. It took about 30 minutes to connect to a human, but all my questions were answered, and the representative was quite helpful.
You can also contact CynderHost’s customer support through email, phone, or support ticket.
