Croadria has been providing website hosting and domain registration since 1996. As the name suggests, it’s a Croatian business with a mission to “provide high-quality and stable services.” The website is only available in Croatian.
Features and Ease of Use
Croadria sells a range of hosting services, including shared hosting plans with the following core features:
- Daily automatic backup
- Free domain registration
- Up to 20 add-on domains
- SSL certificates available
- Up to 12GB disk space
- Unlimited traffic per month
You have a choice of either Windows or Linux operating systems which come with MS SQL and MySQL databases respectively, as well as FTP accounts. The plans come with Plesk as the control panel, which is reliable and easy to use.
As well as having a choice of operating system, the plans are fairly flexible. You can purchase a base package, of course, but you can also choose to customize it in various ways. For instance, you can add disk space, databases, FTP accounts, email addresses, and so on.
The situation is less clear regarding other value-added features. For example, the website doesn’t state whether there’s a website building tool, a one-click installer, or support for advanced coding languages. I did chat with support but wasn’t able to get clarification.
I also can’t confirm whether there’s an uptime guarantee (it’s not on the website and the live chat operator did not know), although it is clear that Croadria has its servers co-located in a data center in Zagreb.
Pricing and Support
The prices seem quite high, but it’s hard to say whether it’s good value for money or not, without further clarification from support. There is a free domain name with all plans, along with a discount if you purchase a longer-term upfront.
Customer service is available 24/7, which is great. You can contact the team by email, live chat, and phone. While the operator picked up straight away when I contacted them, unfortunately, they weren’t able to answer any of my questions.
I was advised I was chatting with technical support and for sales support, I needed to call or email. It’s not a huge deal, the operator was helpful and polite, it just is always easier if you can get instant answers.
There’s a small knowledge base in the event you too are unable to get an answer from support.
