Colombia Dominios takes pride in its 20 years of experience in hosting, domain registration, SEO, and administration services. I don’t need to tell you which country where this company is based, but you need to know that its servers are securely placed in Dallas, Texas.
Colombia Dominios serves more than 25,000 mainly small to medium-sized business customers in Latin America, and its website is substantially in Spanish.
Features and Ease of Use
Colombia Dominios’ range of hosting solutions includes web hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers. Some of the web hosting key features are:
- Free SSL certificates
- cPanel control panel
- Unlimited traffic
- Unlimited FTP accounts, databases, and email accounts
- phpMyAdmin
- SSH access
- MySQL
Colombia Dominios offers three web hosting plans: Entrepreneur, MyPyme, and Premium. The Entrepreneur package provides 10 GB disk space, one hosted website, and basic support. With the MyPyme plan, you get 20 GB web space, two hosted websites, and basic support. The highest premium plan (which is ideal for businesses with busy traffic) comes with unlimited disk storage and adds ten additional domains, premium support, backups, and mirrored disks.
All three plans come with a free SSL certificate and the extremely useful cPanel control panel with the Softaculous app installer that provide hundreds of web scripts for CMS and other apps such as Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress.
Instead of regular hosting, you can opt for the three VPS packages (SME, Business, and Premium) that offer SSD storage ranging from 20 GB to 90 GB and RAM from 4 GB to 12 GB.
Pricing and Support
Colombia Dominios provides cheap hosting packages compared with other popular Columbian vendors, and it offers discounts and promotions. The payment options include major credit cards, PayPal, Efecty, Bancolombia App, Baloto, and Colpatria.
Available billing cycles are one-, two-, and three years, with discounts for the longer two terms. There are no signs on Colombia Dominios’ website that its plans are refundable, and there is no free trial as far as I can see.
This hosting provider doesn’t support any application that has not been purchased from it, and (unfortunately) self-support resources seem to be scarce. The situation is somewhat better for one-to-one support. The working-hours-only support channels include telephone, support ticket, email, WhatsApp, and live chat. Although I had to converse in Spanish rather than my native English, I was able to summon support via the live chat channel.
