100% Indonesian company Cloudmatika (aka. PT Awan Solusi Informatika) is part of the Iska Group, and it uses the technology of the Japanese Tsukaeru Group. Cloudmatika’s website is available in Indonesian and English.
Features and Ease of Use
Cloudmatika offers three Linux shared hosting plans, three reseller packages, eight Linux cloud VPS plans, and seven Windows cloud VPS plans. One problem is that the shared hosting plans are only visible in the cart area. Another problem is that the website also mentions dedicated servers (for those needing a higher level of privacy) but includes no additional information.
Cloudmatika’s eight Indonesian cloud VPS plans provide you with:
- 1 CPU core @ 1.2 GHz to 10 CPU cores @ 2.4 GHz
- 20 GB to 800 GB storage
- Unlimited bandwidth
- 512 MB to 48 GB memory
- 24/7 security monitoring
This provider also offers six cloud backup plans powered by Acronis AnyData Technology, which allow you to back up anything from individual files to the entire file system with a single click. In a similar vein, the Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) combines VMware (as the virtual platform) with Acronis technology (as the backup tool).
The company lets cloud users enable the autoscale feature on its VDC containers, to scale your resources (RAM and CPU) up or down and pay for only what you use. While Cloudmatika’s website alludes to a 100% uptime guarantee, the customer support team confirmed to me an SLA-backed 99.99% uptime.
Pricing and Support
Cloudmatika’s cloud VPS plans are competitively priced. You can pay monthly in Indonesian rupiah by bank transfer, the Midtrans payment gateway, mobile banking, internet banking, phone banking, SMS banking, cash deposits, or even at ATMs. You get a seven-day trial period to test the cloud VPS plans.
You can summon 24/7 technical support by email or ticket, or by an emergency assistance telephone number if you haven’t received a reply to your ticket or email within ten minutes. You can also call or fax the company for billing support, or fill out an online contact form. My exploratory email received a rapid reply:
For self-support, you can refer to Cloudmatika’s Help Portal (which is effectively a knowledge base). They also have a Publication section that contains several useful articles.
