Established in 2010, Citrahost offers domain name registration, SMS broadcast, SSL certificates, VPS, reseller hosting, and shared hosting. It has two data centers located in Indonesia, and its website is in Indonesian.
Features and Ease of Use
Citrahost offers three types of shared hosting — Cheap Hosting, Business Hosting, and WordPress Hosting — each of which has four price plans, making 12 plans in total. The features include:
- 99.9% uptime guarantee
- Free SSL certificate
- 500 MB to unlimited disk space
- Unlimited bandwidth
The cPanel control panel provides an easy-to-use interface for managing all aspects of your hosting, and the incorporated Softaculous installer helps you install a plethora of popular PHP applications — such as WordPress, Joomla, and PrestaShop — with a single click.
For security, you get a free SSL certificate (to give confidence to your visitors) and a web application firewall (to protect against website attacks).
For performance, you get the Nginx web server with caching, Gzip compression, and HTTP/2 support.
Pricing and Support
Citrahost offers some of the cheapest shared hosting plans you will find, with even the highest-priced WordPress plans being less expensive than other providers’ similar plans. Pay by bank transfer, credit/debit card, GoPay, or Mandiri Quickpay.
When you choose annual billing, we offer you free domain registration (on certain extensions). The billing cycles for other options are monthly and triennial, but the plan you select determines the available billing cycles.
On the plus side, you should be able to contact Citrahost’s support team by telephone, email, live chat, or WhatsApp. On the minus side, my exploratory email received no response. For self-support, you’ll find a sparsely populated knowledge base.
