BlueWho first began offering web design, hosting, and domain registration in 1999. Over the years, it cut out web design from its services, choosing to concentrate on hosting. With servers located in the United States, it commits to offering flexible and reliable multi-domain hosting to customers around the world.
It currently offers shared reseller hosting and dedicated servers. The website is in English.
Features and Ease of Use
BlueWho uses Linux for shared reselling. Customers will enjoy the following features:
- 99.9% uptime
- Free SSL certificate
- From 2GB to 6GB storage space
- Daily automatic backups
- Unlimited addon domains
Each BlueWho plan comes with the ability to host unlimited domain names. However, the disk space and bandwidth offered are not so much, especially for reseller hosting. Given that cPanel (along with WHM) is provided and it still retains the other basic features of shared hosting, single domain hosting might be better off here.
Each account comes with a free website builder, not only for you but your clients as well. Fantastico script installer is provided in the control panel for quick installation of web applications and scripts. More experienced users have PHP support as well.
All new servers are Dual Woodcrest super-micro super-machines with 4GB RAM and RAID. Although this is not the best offered in the hosting market, it should do for websites using the storage space and bandwidth that this vendor offers.
Every BlueWho reseller account comes equipped with two dedicated IP addresses. That’s to allow customers to use one on their own website, and the other for customers on their account. This helps you maintain better security on your website.
Pricing and Support
BlueWho’s smallest reseller plan, R1, is fitting for individuals and small businesses. It offers 2GB storage space and 30GB bandwidth. That plan is costly. The other four plans, though with more features, are not better off with the pricing, neither is the dedicated server plan.
BlueWho provides monthly payment plans for all their hosting services. This allows you to minimize your risk and avoid being locked into a long-term contract. Additionally, they offer a 15-day money-back guarantee.
Technical customer support is available via live chat and support ticket. However, the live chat is not 24/7, and there is no phone support. I submitted a ticket and received a response after a few hours. Some parts of the reply seemed canned and outside the scope of what I requested.
