BionicWP is a web hosting company based in the U.S.A. with a back office in Pakistan. It specializes in managed WordPress hosting and, thanks to its partnership with Google, delivers its services through Google Cloud’s massive global network of data centers.
Although attractive and easy to navigate, BionicWP’s website offers limited information and is only available in English. All of its prices are in U.S. dollars.
Features and Ease of Use
Unlike most hosting providers, BionicWP doesn’t have fixed price plans. Instead, it offers a range of configurations for you to choose from. There are dozens of possible combinations, and they vary according to the number of hosted websites, monthly visitors, storage, and CDN bandwidth. This is great if you know what you want, but not so much if you’re a hosting beginner. The configuration ranges are as follows:
- Hosted websites from 1 to 100
- Monthly visitors from 20K to 2M
- Storage from 5 GB to 500 GB
- CDN bandwidth from 50 GB to 5000 GB
BionicWP has a custom control panel that comes with any configuration. Even though I usually prefer the more commonly used options such as cPanel or Plesk, this control panel has a user-friendly interface that makes it suitable both for beginners and advanced users.
With any configuration you choose, you get a range of security and performance features. On the side of security, all packages include:
- Daily malware scanning
- WordPress hardening
- WAF firewall
On the other hand, the performance features relate to BionicWP operating on Google’s Cloud network. It is composed of numerous data centers worldwide that are highly advanced at delivering the best possible performance.
If you find BionicWP limited in its features or you’re looking for something other than managed WordPress hosting, I suggest you have a quick look at our top web hosting comparison.
Pricing and Support
BionicWP’s prices are on the expensive side, considering its allocated resources and limited features. I’ve come across numerous managed WordPress hosting providers that offer more features at similar or cheaper prices.
BionicWP calculates configuration prices by considering the number of websites hosted per month. Hosting more websites (having a larger configuration) leads to a reduction in the price per website. These prices adhere to a monthly billing cycle.
Even though BionicWP doesn’t have a money-back guarantee, it provides a free trial for staging your website. The staging process is entirely free, and you’ll only need to make a payment when you’re ready to go live.
As previously mentioned, BionicWP’s website is quite limited, including the resources available such as a reliable knowledgebase. It does have a blog, but it’s not that helpful. On the other hand, customer support is available 24/7 via chat and email. I tried the chat several times, and the agent was always helpful and answered my questions promptly.
