Established in 1994, Bahnhof claims to be the oldest and one of the largest network operators in Sweden. While it specializes in the construction of secure data centers that use green energy, it also provides VPS, virtual datacenter, and colocation services.
Banhof aims to offer innovative services backed by robust technical knowledge and experience, and its website is in English.
Features and Ease of Use
Bahnhof offers three VPS packages (MINI, MEDIUM, and PREMIUM) and three colocation packages (START UP, HALF RACK, and FULL RACK). The customizable VPS packages provide the following features, and more:
- 6 GB to 32 GB HDD storage
- 256 MB to 4096 MB RAM
- 1 to 4 CPUs
- 4 TB bandwidth
- 100 Mbit interface
- 1 IP address
- Control panel
- DNS management
Probably the biggest advantage of partnering with Banhof is its six data centers that use advanced technologies like fully redundant routers and diverged cable paths, plus robust security measures such as video surveillance and smoke detectors. One of the data centers is located in a nuclear-proof bunker, and each of the other data centers has some unique feature.
All data centers have obtained Triple Green certification, which means that by signing up with this company, you can contribute to saving the planet.
Pricing and Support
Banhof’s VPS packages are averagely priced, and you can pay for them on a monthly, biannual, or annual basis. At the time of writing this review, a coupon code could be used to get a 30% discount for the first month. Swedish customers can pay in SEK via various methods, whereas international customers must pay by PayPal in euros. There is a limited refund policy that requires you to provide evidence that its services have failed.
Bahnhof’s customer service team can be contacted via telephone, ticket, or email. I received a rapid response via the email route.
