AussieHost.com was established in 2007. It seeks to provide top-notch multi-domain hosting from servers based in Australia. The company currently hosts over 11,500 domains. Support and services are offered in English only.
Features and Ease of Use
AussieHost.com uses eco-friendly power with N+1 connectivity in its Sydney-based data centers. With raised floor cooling vents and hot air extraction at the top of each server cabinet, power usage is kept at a minimum. Servers are Intel-powered with four 500GB SATA III drives in RAID10 configuration for maximum I/O speeds and redundancy. All this means is that you’ll have highly reliable and fast servers for your websites.
AussieHost.com’s shared hosting plans feature:
- Unlimited email accounts
- Unlimited MySQL databases
- Instant account activation
- cPanel
You’ll find relatively fuss-free and versatile packages with AussieHost.com. The entry-level Joey Hosting package affords you hosting for a single domain and lots of value-added features, such as the Softaculous one-click installer, RVsitebuilder, and support for coding languages like PHP, Perl, SSI, and HTML5.
From there onwards, the higher-tier packages offer multi-domain hosting. The main difference with the two higher-tier plans is the amount of storage space you’ll get: 10GB with Kangaroo Hosting and 25GB with Buck Hosting.
What you won’t find with AussieHost.com are free SSL certificates, unfortunately. These have to be purchased separately. AussieHost.com recommends RapidSSL certificates with a 99.9% browser recognition rate, though these also require a dedicated IP address that’ll come at an extra cost.
Pricing and Support
Considering the beginner-friendly features you get, the multi-domain hosting packages come at very affordable prices — though not the cheapest in the market. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time with no penalty; simply contact the AussieHost.com help desk and they’ll handle it for you within minutes.
You can choose to pay monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or annually. The longer the plan you choose, the greater the discount. AussieHost.com also has a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try out its service at no risk.
To be honest, I was not impressed with AussieHost.com’s support system. I attempted their live chat several times, but I never received a response. They don’t offer phone support, only ticket-based assistance and the unresponsive live chat. Furthermore, their support is not available round the clock. On the bright side, they do have a knowledge base that can be helpful when you encounter difficulties.
