Admiral is an Iran-based web hosting company that was launched in 2010. To date, the company has hosted over 914 domain names which is pretty low given it has a significant market share in several countries in Europe. That said, the vendor boasts of over 19 active services under its brand, including shared web hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, and cloud services. The Admiral website is only available in Persian.
Features and Ease of Use
Admiral web hosting services come with the following standard features:
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Dedicated IP addresses
- Unlimited subdomains
- Unlimited number of databases
- DDoS protection
Admiral uses powerful hardware and up-to-date servers housed in several data center locations across the globe, including Iran, Poland, France, and Ireland.
Its servers come with Xeon processors installed with up to 64GB DDR4 ECC memory that helps detect and correct the most common kinds of internal data corruption. Moreover, these servers run on either Linux or Windows OS platforms.
Its shared hosting plans include cPanel cloud hosting and DirectAdmin hosting services. These solutions are equipped with NVMe hard drives with powerful firewalls that not only help prevent intrusions but also boost hardware performance.
Although the vendor doesn’t include backups in any of its hosting services, they offer FTP backup plans as add-on packages. However, these backups have very limited features and are only meant for FTP accounts.
It is worth noting that the Admiral website has a very poor design with a very hard-to-navigate interface, especially if you are not familiar with the Persian language. Some parts of the websites could not be translated into English and personally, I had a very hard time trying to figure out some of the details mentioned on the website.
Pricing and Support
Although Admiral web hosting services are affordable, unfortunately, the plans come with very limited features. The hosting solutions come with flexible monthly and annual billing cycles. Prices are listed in U.S dollars as well as Iranian rials.
The hosting company provides a seven-day money-back guarantee policy, which is too low in contrast with most other vendors that offer up to a 30-day money-back guarantee. In addition, its server systems are designed to offer only up to a 99% uptime network guarantee, also lower than industry standards.
Admiral customer support staff is available via several channels: telephone, email, ticketing system, or live chat. The customer support team is not available 24/7.
I did not come across a knowledge base section, but the hosting company has a blog section with multiple articles and “how-to” tutorials.
