Abivia calls its shared hosting True Canadian Hosting. Under this category, it offers four plans called Starter plan, Blogger plan, Business plan, and Enterprise plan. The following features are available with them:

Abivia’s servers use RAID 10 technology, which combines stripping and mirroring of data to other drives. This is to ensure that data can be restored from one drive in case the other fails.
It offers the CloudLinux operating system, which provides top-notch security for shared hosting environments due to the way it creates a virtualized environment for each account. It is also very stable and provides optimal performance.
SSH access from a remote device to your account is also available, but only upon request. Abivia also offers antivirus and firewall protection. Since it’s servers are managed, they come with the latest security updates.
Apart from the Starter plan, every other plan offers unlimited add-on domains. This means that you can host as many websites as you’d like. It’s Linux-based and supports PHP, as well. This means that these plans are suitable for websites coded with PHP. You can also select the PHP version you want.
The company offers cPanel control panel through which you can manage your website files and other resources related to your hosting account. It comes with a one-click installer for applications like WordPress and Joomla. With just a few clicks of your mouse, you can install them on your account or website.
Abivia does offer a separate service for Joomla, and it includes website design, development, extensions, and support for Joomla CMS.
The company also provides a service known as Concierge hosting, comprising a fundamental website, email, and website hosting package tailored for professionals and small businesses. Additionally, this package incorporates the administration of your hosting account. If you prefer to offload the responsibilities of hosting and development, this option might be suitable for you.
Pricing and Support
With Abivia’s shared plans, you’ll enjoy competitive prices with discounts. These discounts increase as you subscribe for longer billing cycles. The cycles are monthly, quarterly, annual, and biennial.
On the Abivia website, the prices are listed in Canadian dollars, while on the shopping page, you can choose to make payments using US dollars or Canadian dollars. To complete your shopping, you will need to select between credit card and PayPal payment options.
It doesn’t offer free domain registration, which would have been a nice perk to have. For those migrating, though, there’s free website migration from another cPanel account.
Abivia provides support through phone (also a toll-free line), contact form, and knowledge base. It also offers a live chat platform that is available on its WHMCS page. I had a conversation with two of its support staff via live chat.
