I signed up for a month for a discounted rate ($6.03). Two weeks later, I wanted to look into the yearly package. I wrongly assumed that the yearly package was a contract for one year that would auto-renew each month. I clicked on the package thinking I could add it to my "cart," and then boom!- my debit card was charged $71.31. I called THE NEXT DAY and asked for a refund because I didn't realize what I was purchasing (which is very shady!). I was told that I would only get refunded $65 because "you purchased both packages at a discounted rate." I couldn't make sense of what she was explaining and I don't think she could make sense of it because she put me on hold for 10 minutes.
I then asked to simply be refunded the $71.31 I paid the day before and had to wait 30 MINUTES for the woman to "figure out how to refund you." She ended up telling me I would get $75 refunded (I demanded to have all of my money refunded, including the previous package, which would have been $77) and was told it will take 7-10 business days, even though the charge has not yet posted to my account. I asked for the charge to be canceled, but she said "it has to be refunded."
This is insanity. I called my bank and they were nice and helpful (how refreshing!); however, I do need to wait for the charge to post until I can file a claim, which I will do. There are so many other sites for facebook/social media posts. Definitely look elsewhere!
