Wix Launches AI-Powered Image Capabilities

Wix, a website builder platform, has released new AI-powered capabilities that allow its users to create and edit visual content. The new capabilities take the form of three features: AI Image Creator, the Object Eraser, and the AI Image Editor.

With AI Image Creator, Wix users will be able to create images by using text prompts that describe the visual they want to display. The tool will provide images in various styles, including photos, images, paintings, cartoons, sketches, and more.

The Object Eraser allows users to remove aspects of an image, in this case, without using text prompts. It is intended to enable users to edit their images easily, even with zero editing skills.
Wix users can use the AI Image Editor for other image updates, which uses prompts to modify image elements.

Ido Kosover, Head of Media at Wix, said of the new tools that “users don’t need to leave the platform; they can edit their images professionally right within it.” The company has already released several AI capabilities.

Stability AI models power the AI Image Creator. Stability AI is an open-source generative AI company that aims to provide transparency and help democratize AI models for images, language, code, and audio. It has built a community of more than 300,000 creators, developers, and researchers worldwide and now has more than 10 million users.

Wix’s new AI tools aim to streamline the image creation process, potentially reducing the time and effort required for visual content production. This could be particularly useful for small business owners and creators seeking professional-quality images without investing in expensive software or extensive design training.

Wix offers website-building capabilities that allow users to build professional websites to drive their online presence. The simple and intuitive interface enables users with no technical experience to build their websites easily. Adding AI tools enhances this user-friendly approach, making Wix more accessible for everyone.
