Upwork Unveils Fall 2024 Edition of Updates
Upwork has announced its fall edition of Upwork Updates, its semi-annual product showcase, where it unveils its new products, features, and partnerships.
In this edition, Upwork Updates includes enhancements to Uma, Upworks Mindful AI announced in its Spring 2024 Upwork Updates. When Uma launched, it offered several capabilities. These included AI-powered tools to match people to specific jobs, AI-generated job posts to ensure maximized reach, and proposal tips to identify skills that will be pertinent for a given job.
Uma will grow to offer more capabilities, such as providing side-by-side comparisons of various freelancers for a given project based on an evaluation of a proposal. It will also propose interview questions to help determine the best fit.
Freelancers can also benefit from Uma, which uses AI trained on trillions of past Upwork interactions to help write proposals.
Upwork expanded Uma to add AI features to Managed Services, streamlining projects from scoping to team design for faster, high-quality delivery of critical outcomes.
Managed Services is a solution available to all Upwork Enterprise clients, offering various features that help businesses from areas such as sales, HR, and customer support.
Alongside the updates to Uma, Upwork announced that select partners will soon manage their Upwork projects directly within their own platforms. This integration will allow partners to offer their customers easy access to Upwork’s capabilities and freelancers.
The Fall Upwork Update introduces new membership plans, improved payment functionality for freelancers, and enhanced feedback features. It also provides freelancers with greater visibility into their Job Success Score and new tools to boost the visibility of job opportunities and freelancer profiles.
Upwork has said, “With our Fall 2024 Upwork Update, we’re excited to introduce our customers to an extensive array of products and solutions that seamlessly combine expert talent and technology to help professionals and businesses achieve great work outcomes together.”
Upwork is also expanding its other AI offerings, including the new Work Innovator Research Assistant, which delivers real-time, actionable insights from Upwork’s research.
