MailChimp Introduces 150+ New and Updated Features
Leading marketing automation platform MailChimp is rolling out over 150 new and reinvented features. These features focus on helping customers spend less time on mundane tasks and accelerate greater e-commerce growth with less effort.
The new features include more options for e-commerce automation, advanced segmentation, more comprehensive reporting and analytics, customer journeys, SMS marketing, better support options, and more. Most of the new features will be available globally.
MailChimp is starting to leverage AI at a higher scale to meet customer expectations. According to this survey, as many as 88% of marketers surveyed believe their organization needs to use automation and AI at a higher rate “to win.” Considering the results from the survey, MailChimp doubled down on automation and AI features to help marketers usher in a new era of selling.
One of MailChimp’s notable new features is an Email Analytics and Audience Analytics Dashboard that enables users to better measure performance. They can build custom reports using critical metrics, compare metrics over a period of time, and filter reports by time, campaign, and audience. With the updates in its Content Manager, users can get a more holistic view of their marketing campaigns.
SMS marketing in beta will soon be available to US MailChimp customers. They can use it along with other forms of marketing, like email, to straighten their marketing strategies. In combination with the new and enhanced automation features and data-driven insights, MailChimp customers can achieve stronger results, the company says.
MailChimp also introduced 75 new email templates and an AI-powered Email Content Generator (in beta with limited availability) to help users create high-quality, engaging content in a fraction of the time needed before.
Customers now have a choice of 24 new starting points for e-commerce automation, including 12 for Shopify. These features revolve around increasing website traffic, nurturing leads, and driving repeat business. Through Customer Journey Builder and Pre-built Journeys, users can work on growing their e-commerce business across multiple channels from one place.
MailChimp also improved its Standard plan to include Comparative Reporting, Advanced Segmentation, and Multivariate Testing – features previously available only to Premium users. Its most popular plan will also introduce personalized business recommendations and enhanced customer support.
